AFL Switzerland is proud to announce that the league’s Leading Goal Kicker Award has been renamed the **Jacob Brownley Medal**.

As an early pioneer in the leagues goal kicking history and in recognition of Jacob’s outstanding achievement as the competition’s top goal kicker in three consecutive seasons (2021, 2022, and 2023), the clubs and league board unanimously agreed to honour his contribution to Swiss footy in this permanent way.

A fitting tribute to one of the country’s finest forwards.

A respected elder in the Australian community in Switzerland, Neil is a former president of AFL Switzerland, a former president of the Basel Dragons Australian Football Club and one of the founders of the Basel Dragons.
