The 2026 Grümpeltuiner, which was organised and sponsered by the ZAFL – Zürcher Australian Rules Football Verband (part of ZKS – Zürcher Kantonalverband für Sport). The ZAFL consists of the Zurich Giants AFC and Winterthur Lions AFC.
The main goals of the yearly tournament is to promote Australian football in the Canton of Zürich and give new players, beginners and young people the opportunity to try the sport in a fun & friendly tournament (with modified rules), before the AFL Switzerland league begins.
The tournament saw players from Zürich, Winterthur, Bern and Basel compete for the cup. Each team could only have a maximum of 2 AFL Switzerland club players on field to promote and give opportunity to the new players.
